""They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper."" Psalm 1:3.

Theme 100 : Certainty about God

We are, by nature and vocation, religious beings. When we listen to the message of the creation and to the voice of our conscience, we can arrive at certainty about the existence of God, the cause and the end of everything. The Church teaches that the one true God, our Creator and Lord, can be known with certainty from HIS works, by the natural light of human reason. We really can name God, starting from the manifold perfections of HIS creatures, which are likenesses of the infinitely perfect God, even if our limited language cannot exhaust the mystery. The creatures do not exist without the Creator. The love of Christ urges the believers to bring the light of the Living God to those who do not know HIM or who reject HIM.
                                 (Ref. CCC 44-49)
Prayer :
O Living God, my existence is real only because YOU, my Creator, are Real. Coming from YOU and going toward YOU, I live a fully human life only if I freely live by my bond with YOU. I am made to live in communion with YOU in whom I find true happiness. When I am completely united to YOU, my life will be complete.

Theme 99 : The Purpose of human life

God, infinitely perfect, in a plan of pure goodness, freely created the human being to let share in HIS Divine Life. For this, at every time and in every place, God draws close to the human being. HE calls together all, scattered and divided by sin, into the unity of HIS Family, the Church. To accomplish this, when the fullness of time came, God sent HIS Son as the Redeemer. Through Jesus, the Father invites all to become, in the Holy Spirit, HIS adopted children and thus partakers of HIS Life. Christ sent forth the apostles, commissioning them to proclaim the gospel. Strengthened by this mission, the apostles preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by signs.            (Ref. CCC 1-3)

Prayer :
Most Loving Abba, when I welcome YOUR Son's call and freely respond to it, I am urged on by HIS love to proclaim the Good News. I believe that this treasure, received from the apostles, has been faithfully guarded in the Church. Thank you for calling me to hand it on to the next generation, by professing the faith and living it in the Church.

Theme 98 : Clean and Fresh

We know the difference between a clean room and a messy room. It is a choice one makes to be clean and fresh or not. Some individuals always make it a point to keep themselves and the place where they are clean. We have experienced 'the clean and fresh feel' after a bath. Just as this is true for our physical lives, it is true for our emotional and spiritual lives too. How many of us clean up the muddy footprints left all over our heart, mind and soul? Do we address the state of spiritual muddiness we encounter from time to time? Universally water is seen as an ideal element for healing, restoration and cleansing. Let us make a choice to have the clean and fresh effect at the Fountain of Living Waters in our daily Prayer.

Prayer :
Father God, YOUR loving gaze is upon me at all times. Jesus Lord, baptize me with the Holy Spirit. O Holy Spirit, YOU are the Living Water that makes me clean and fresh. Here am I.. Fall afresh on my whole being.

Theme 97 : Physical Exercise and Prayer

Physical exercise does maintain fitness, overall health and wellness. Regular exercise manages a wide range of health concerns improving our muscle strength as well as self esteem. Mental fitness can be achieved if the body is functioning well. A person, who is fit physically and mentally, is focused and strong enough to face the ups and downs of life. Daily physical exercise  stimulates various brain chemicals that leave us relaxed. It boosts our energy, confidence and endurance putting us into a mood to be in connection with God.

Prayer :
Thank you, dear God, for the opportunities for well being you bless me with. When I am fit, I can live my life to its fullest extent glorifying YOU at every moment. Be at my side, Lord, as I want to praise YOU with my body and mind including physical exercise in my daily schedule. Thus, may I maintain a relaxed mind and a prayerful soul.

Theme 96 : The Living Building

The look and the feel of a building give an overall impression of the building. Each of us is a small living building made up of living stones. The look and the feel of us do speak of us. From the time of conception, we are being formed and built biologically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, socially, etc. The process of building gives different shapes at different point of time. Each of us is built into a particular personality day by day. Growing, developing or building could take place automatically, with self-help or with an external help. Let us be aware of what living stones we are made up of and how we are being built each day.

Prayer :
Jesus, I believe that the Church is YOUR Body and YOU are the Head. YOUR Body is built of us, the small living buildings. Strengthen and shape the small building of my personality with good living stones arranged well according to YOUR taste.

Theme 95 : The Rosary Fort

We can beautifully meditate upon the awesome story of our salvation through the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful and the Glorious mysteries of the Holy Rosary. In every apparition, the heavenly Mother has invited us to pray the Rosary as a powerful weapon against the evil in order that the true peace may prevail. Each day, through the Rosary, we can drive all dangers away from ourselves and from our surroundings. Intercession through the Rosary is very powerful. Praying the Rosary purifies and protects us forming a strong Fort around us.

Prayer :
Jesus Lord, I thank YOU for the golden opportunity through the Rosary to meditate on YOUR MYSTERIES. This meditation keeps deepening my spirituality and raises me to the spiritual heights. Help me Lord to perseveringly pray my personal Rosary daily in addition to the family Rosary.

Theme 94 : One angel only for me !

Can you imagine that you are always escorted by an angel!  Your Guardian Angel is the angel assigned by God to guard you at every moment.
Psalm 91:10-12  "No evil shall befall you, nor shall affliction come near your tent, for to His Angels God has given command about you, that they guard you in all your ways. Upon their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone."
Yes, God has charged HIS angels with the ministry of safeguarding HIS creatures, who can not behold HIS face. The role of the guardian angel, who can behold God's face, is to guide us in our thoughts, words and deeds, and to preserve us from evil. All the same, neither God nor the guardian angel will ever interfere in our freedom. When we choose to acknowledge the presence of our special angel and to take the help, we feel warmly guarded.

Prayer :
Gracious God, I marvel at YOUR tender loving care. How thoughtful are YOU towards YOUR creatures! Thank you for the gift of my guardian angel. I am sorry for the times I disregarded my angel. O my guardian angel, thank you for watching over me constantly. Continue to be at my side to light and guard me.

Theme 93 : Qualification of Childlikeness

The spirituality of St Therese of Child Jesus, her "little way", teaches us that the smallest action, done with love, is more important than the great deeds done for personal glory, gratification or simply out of obedience. Her greatness was in the constancy of her love in the most simple ways. Her prayer was talking to Jesus in direct, personal and heartfelt ways just as a child speaks honestly and trustingly to the parents.  St Therese invites us to join in her "spiritual childhood". God calls us to respond to the Divine Love in a childlike relationship of love, trust and bold confidence in God. Being child-like is the qualification we need to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Prayer :
Ever loving and most trustworthy God, without YOU, I am nothing. How I wish to be immersed in the Ocean of YOUR Love! Let me come to YOU keeping all my worldly degrees and qualifications away..just like a child.. Draw me ever closer to YOU, my dear God, as I place all my trust in YOU.
