""They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper."" Psalm 1:3.

Theme 47 : What belongs where

We value the fruits of our own labour. Valuing the fruits of the other's labour shows our true dignity. The seventh commandment forbids theft. Theft is taking and possessing what belongs to the other against the reasonable will of the owner. Every manner of taking and using another's belongings unjustly is contrary to the seventh commandment. Take not but give others their due credit - the respect, the recognition, the honour, the reward, etc. Unknowingly or knowingly we tend to steal the other's reward and project it as ours. A clear boundary is to be set as to what belongs where and act accordingly. The injustice committed requires reparation. (Ref. CCC 2451-2461)

Prayer :
My dear God, I believe that you give me what I need and what is to belong to me. Let me never be greedy in possessing anything - material or otherwise. Let me keep only what truly belongs to me and let the others have what belongs to them.
