""They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper."" Psalm 1:3.

Theme 100 : Certainty about God

We are, by nature and vocation, religious beings. When we listen to the message of the creation and to the voice of our conscience, we can arrive at certainty about the existence of God, the cause and the end of everything. The Church teaches that the one true God, our Creator and Lord, can be known with certainty from HIS works, by the natural light of human reason. We really can name God, starting from the manifold perfections of HIS creatures, which are likenesses of the infinitely perfect God, even if our limited language cannot exhaust the mystery. The creatures do not exist without the Creator. The love of Christ urges the believers to bring the light of the Living God to those who do not know HIM or who reject HIM.
                                 (Ref. CCC 44-49)
Prayer :
O Living God, my existence is real only because YOU, my Creator, are Real. Coming from YOU and going toward YOU, I live a fully human life only if I freely live by my bond with YOU. I am made to live in communion with YOU in whom I find true happiness. When I am completely united to YOU, my life will be complete.

Theme 99 : The Purpose of human life

God, infinitely perfect, in a plan of pure goodness, freely created the human being to let share in HIS Divine Life. For this, at every time and in every place, God draws close to the human being. HE calls together all, scattered and divided by sin, into the unity of HIS Family, the Church. To accomplish this, when the fullness of time came, God sent HIS Son as the Redeemer. Through Jesus, the Father invites all to become, in the Holy Spirit, HIS adopted children and thus partakers of HIS Life. Christ sent forth the apostles, commissioning them to proclaim the gospel. Strengthened by this mission, the apostles preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by signs.            (Ref. CCC 1-3)

Prayer :
Most Loving Abba, when I welcome YOUR Son's call and freely respond to it, I am urged on by HIS love to proclaim the Good News. I believe that this treasure, received from the apostles, has been faithfully guarded in the Church. Thank you for calling me to hand it on to the next generation, by professing the faith and living it in the Church.

Theme 98 : Clean and Fresh

We know the difference between a clean room and a messy room. It is a choice one makes to be clean and fresh or not. Some individuals always make it a point to keep themselves and the place where they are clean. We have experienced 'the clean and fresh feel' after a bath. Just as this is true for our physical lives, it is true for our emotional and spiritual lives too. How many of us clean up the muddy footprints left all over our heart, mind and soul? Do we address the state of spiritual muddiness we encounter from time to time? Universally water is seen as an ideal element for healing, restoration and cleansing. Let us make a choice to have the clean and fresh effect at the Fountain of Living Waters in our daily Prayer.

Prayer :
Father God, YOUR loving gaze is upon me at all times. Jesus Lord, baptize me with the Holy Spirit. O Holy Spirit, YOU are the Living Water that makes me clean and fresh. Here am I.. Fall afresh on my whole being.
