""They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper."" Psalm 1:3.

Theme 103 : PRACTICE

It is said that 'practice' makes us perfect. Practising to practise is a choice and a decision of those who want to be fully alive. Various skills can be acquired or learned through practice. Even the skilled persons practise much before they perform using their skills. The artists, athletes, actors, students, teachers, preachers, writers, etc. practise, practise and practise. We spend much time and energy in developing physical, mental and social skills. What about the time given to be aware of, to appreciate, to feel the need of and to desire for the Spiritual abilities?  How about making concrete efforts to develop, to practise and to use the Spiritual skills?

Prayer :
Perfect God, YOU invite me to be like YOU. Let me sit before YOU daily to learn from YOU. May I be soaked in YOU and absorb YOUR nature into mine. Make me like YOU day by day...

Theme 102 : The Driver of life

The spirit makes the Soul unlimited and the flesh makes the Body limited.
Who is the driver of your life ?
- the flesh principle (evil and corrupting)?
Or, the spirit principle (good and purifying)?
Those who live according to 'flesh principle' set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to 'spirit principle' set their minds on the things of the spirit. Setting the mind on the flesh brings death. The flesh and the spirit are against each other. The mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God and the mind that is set on the spirit is friendly to God.     (Ref. Rom.8)

Prayer :
O Holy Spirit, possess my spirit and thus let my soul direct my body, heart and mind. Thank you for calling me to live in the spirit so that my life may be pleasing to you. Condemn sin in the flesh so that I walk not according to the flesh but according to the spirit.

Theme 101 : Outer and Inner Person

The human person's outer person is physical and inner person is spiritual. It is the whole human person that is intended to become, in the Mystical Body of Christ, a Temple of the Holy Spirit. We have Physical body and Spiritual body, Physical mind and Spiritual mind, Physical heart and Spiritual heart. The physical principle in the human person is normally termed as 'Body' and the spiritual principle as 'Soul'. Every Soul is created immediately by God (not produced by the parents) and is immortal. The unity of the Soul and the Body in a person is so profound that the Soul is considered to be the 'Form' of the Body.

Prayer :
Dear God, I become aware that YOU created me in such a way that I unite both physical and spiritual worlds in my own nature. May I always be a temple of the Holy Spirit, who gives life to my inner person. May my lively inner person constantly animate my outer person.
